Our dog training has also been created with flexibility in mind. We know you’re busy, so we offer a range of options to fit around ‘life’. If you need evenings, weekends, or would prefer us to do some of the training for you, we have a solution to suit. Join us for a class or private training at our centre, or we can come to you at home.
OUR APPROACH
At Everything Dog, the health and well-being of every four-legged family member is our priority, so we’ve designed our dog training and classes to be fun and rewarding for both you and your pup. No dog should ever feel forced or be handled forcefully, so we use natural, instinct based methods. Together we help you to get the best from your dog in a gentle, positive, and calm way.
What most people know as ‘dog training’, we think of as ‘parent and dog training’. Most often, behaviour issues are the result of miscommunication, or simply misunderstanding our dogs natural needs or what they are trying to tell us. Our courses are designed to help you and your dog understand while you learn together. We’ll help you to strengthen your bond, reduce stress for you both, and create lasting positive relationships.

Raising a calm, confident dog starts from the day your pup or new dog arrives home. Our puppy classes focus on the important basic skills they need to grow into happy adult furry family members. Through private tailored sessions, we can help you and your older adopted dog on this same journey of bonding.

ELS DESART
Sought-after dog behaviourist Els has worked with dogs and their families for 25 years.
She has worked in leading roles at dog centres, shelters and rescue organisations in New Zealand and overseas, and in her own dog training business. Els also trains animal professionals in dog behaviour, including veterinary students for Ara. Els brings an incredible depth of knowledge and care to her role, enabling people and dogs to come together as a team while also being the best individual each can be.
Els holds certifications in dog training in both Europe and New Zealand and is member of APDTNZ.
